Normal Dr appointment yesterday (34+4) blood pressure was high. Checked two more times before leaving, still high. Was sent home to do 24hr urine collection. Took the urine back and did blood work this morning, also had bp checked twice, still too high. Also, hands and feet swelling and upper abdominal pain. Baby girl will be delivered at 37wk. This post isn't to ask if any of you have experienced this, but to tell you that preeclampsia isn't always gradual. It can happen practically over night. I am in school to be a midwife, I am here to tell you that preeclampsia is noting that can be prevented, it can happen to anyone. If you develop preeclampsia please know that it is nothing that you did, it will be monitored and your medical staff will take care of you and baby. Preeclampsia is scary, and it is real, it it is something that stress can make worse so remember to breathe, rest, and stay hydrated.
