Sex pp?

Have any of you guys had sex before the 6 week mark? Do you guys think it's okay?

we waited until I got the green light from the midwife at my 4 week postpartum appointment. We were dying by then though 😂

Hubs and I barely made it a week before we started having sex again. I had a c section and it was healing well so we went for it. But everyone is different so if you feel up to it the go ahead.

I had sex around 3.5 weeks pp, I had a c-section. I just couldn't wait anymore!! Lol after being on bed rest and healing it had just been too long. It hurt the first time or two (TMI...not my incision but weirdly enough my vagina felt like I had given vaginal birth...I don't remember having that with my first). After that it's been great!

We did at 4 Weeks pp but used protection. I had a c section and was not in any pain at all and felt up to it. I never really dilated either so I wasn’t really worried about things internally.

My doctor has suggested we have sex before the 6 week postpartum check so we can report any extreme discomfort indicative of any problems since vaginal birth. However she did say you should wait 4 weeks minimum as otherwise there is still a risk you can introduce infection to the cervix.

Just had sex 5weeks pp. haven't bled since week 2 and my stitch came out week 2 and 1/2. I haven't had my 6week check up yet but I physically felt ready. 🙄 I know there's risk of infection and pregnancy (used condom) before anyone has anything negative to say

I have had 2 c-sections, and with the first I waited until 6 weeks. The second I only waited until 3. I was not in any kind of pain by that point, so I felt mostly comfortable doing it. There is an infection risk, which I believe is part of the reason they tell you to wait. The others are that they want to make sure everything is healed up, but also that they hope to get you on birth control before you go for it. I think if you are comfortable doing it, it's just an "at your own risk" kind of thing.

With my first child I waited 8 weeks I was scared!! This time I waited 3 weeks and I had absolutely no pain or discomfort I also had no tearing or stitches. Everyone is different and heals differently

I wouldn't consent to anyone having sex... I will say I didn't wait.. I was 4w2d pp.. I also had no tearing or stitches though
