To much milk?!?!

Question

My son was born 08/02/17. He's a little over a month now and he's drinking 4 ounces of milk about every 3 and half hours. Is that to much? His pediatrician said newborns are only suppose to drink 2-3 ounces every 2 to 3 hours and i should back it down but Ive tried that. He crys and crys until he gets the full 4 ounces.  Also I have him on his own schedule if that makes any difference.

My 3 and a half week old is eating that much too. I wouldn't feel right feeding him less

Our girl drinks 4-5 oz during her feeds too. She's 6 weeks. She'll cry and cry as well until she gets more. I just want her to be happy, so I've been feeding her even though I have been feeling like she's eating too much. :(

My daughter is 5.5 weeks and eating 4oz every 2-3hrs. She's gained a lil over 3lbs already but if she eats any less, she cries and cries, so I feed her lol

some pediatricians don't realize that every baby is different. give him what he asks for. I thought I was giving him too much but I didn't want to feel like I'm depriving him. maybe it'll slow down after a while

My son drinks 9oz of milk he is 6 weeks he weighs 11 lbs

Mine was eating 3-4oz every 3 hours 4 hours at night at about 2 1/2 weeks  pediatrician said it was  fine... shes back down to 3 oz mostly  now.

Sounds ok to me. Not every baby is going to drink the same exact amount and he's only an ounce over the guidelines. Follow your intuition. If he cries until he gets the 4oz then that's probably the amount it takes to satisfy him.

So it is normal? my mom told me when i was a baby she had to feed me with a bottle because i would eat so much and she didnt make enough fast enough for me.
