Is 5 months too young to leave a baby???

My husband and I have been planning a vacation for a long time but recently found our we are pregnant!  By the time we would leave for vacation the baby would be 5 months. Is that too young to leave the baby with Grandma for a whole week??

It's a personal choice....
But for me, I would never. A whole week is so long...I wouldn't even do it for a weekend. My daughter is 8 months old and I've never been away from her for one day. I highly doubt you'll want to be away from your baby, especially a whole week

Personal experience- I went to the ER with heart failure four days after coming home from giving birth. My MIL took care of my baby for one week while I was in the hospital. 
It was absolute hell, but after that I would trust her with anything- however, in that case, I literally could not be with my baby. 
Do I recommend leaving your 5 month old for that long? Honestly, no. They are growing and developing so fast during this time. Not having mom or dad around for weeks would not be a very fair thing to do IMO.

That's WAY too soon to leave your baby. My husband and I are going to London in April when our daughter is 5 months and we're taking her with us. My mom has offered to keep her, but 5 months is too soon to leave a baby.

My daughter is 3 and I have never left her anywhere for a night let alone a WEEK. Once you become a parent you are responsible for your child not anyone else. Sorry but there's no vacation from being a parent. That being said, I couldn't do it, but to each their own.

Omg yes but everyones different. We didnt go away till baby was one year and it was only for my boyfriends cousins wedding otherwise we prolly would have waited even longer.

I left my 8 month for 2 days to go to Vegas and I hated it!! I felt like she was two little to be left. It's just a personal choice to be honest. Once you have your baby, I don't think you'd want to leave him anyway.
