Not grabbing, reaching or batting
Hello,
My LO will be six months next Wednesday and still won't bat, grab or reach for toys. A little background on her...we were told she has torticollis when she was 3 months old and she has been doing physical therapy once a week for the last 2 months (we started it at 4 months because that's how long it took us to get an appt). For her torticollis she couldn't look to the left or lift her head up during tummy time. She has made a TON of progress. She's just about at age level for lifting her head at tummy time and can look to the left. At her 4 month appt I mentioned to her pediatrician that she doesn't bat, reach or grab and he said she might not be interested yet and to give it time. The physical therapist knows and we've been working on it with her as well but haven't made any progress. We don't think it's a vision issue because she can track just fine but I have an appt next week just in case.
If you put something small in her hand she will hold onto it for a little while but she won't look at it or show any interest in it.
Has anyone else had an issue with not grabbing by 6 months? It just feels so old to not even bat her toys while she's on her play mat!
Thank you!!
