Does not like tummy time!

Omg my 11 week old lo does  not like tummy time at all. I've tried putting a toy in front of her she has a colorful play mat and nothing seems to help her. She is just not a happy camper at tummy time. Any suggestions what I can do to make tummy time a bit easier or more fun for her??

Have you tried laying on your back and then having baby do tummy time on your chest?

Have you tried laying with her and just talking to her. My little girl is happier on her tummy now she can roll too. Maybe she'll be the same and be happier when she can roll to her belly herself?

Do you have a feeding pillow? We use my Boppy cushion sometimes for tummy time - prop her upper body up so its easier to lift her head.

Lay with her on the ground? Lay her on you. Put her on your leg sprawled out run her back.

One of my boys thinks tummy time is nap time. Every single time I put him down for tummy time, he just falls asleep, I even tried putting him on my chest but that causes him to fall asleep faster. Which I keep trying to work with him since he's not very good at holding his head up on his own (10 weeks), meanwhile his brother has no problem holding his head up.

ugh my 14 week old is the same..she holds her head up great when we hold her, but tummy time is scream and cry time. what works the most though for us is rolling up a towel and putting it under her chest, then put her arms over the towel in front of her with her hands on the ground. She tolerates this for like 2 minutes which is a HUGE success..i don't think She likes her face slammed on the floor, so with the towel she's slightly raised already making her actually try to lift her head, and she does try.

I used to watch a baby that was the same way. She loved being outside so when the weather was nice I'd put her play mat on the porch and sit out there with her and she didn't mind tummy time then.

I'm having this problem too! 11 weeks old today. He used to like it more but would mostly fall asleep within 5 minutes. Now you'd think it was torture!

You could also try putting her in front of a mirror during tummy time - that serves as a great distraction. Apart from that, just stick with it! It'll get better... Took our little girl until about 4 month and when she was able to turn from her back to her stomach by herself she suddenly started to like it.

I don't know if you try to put her on your stomach or on your chest and do tummy time that's how I did a lot of my daughters and then from there when she got used to that I would put her on my bed I want from soft service to a little more firm surface to a to the floor where it was harder with a play rug under it and that work fairly well because you're going to think they're used to being held close to you where it's often could she not laying on something hard

Does not like tummy time!
