cloth diapers??

How do you feel about them? Are they convenient? cost effective? what brand did you use?

I love cloth diapers. I've used them since birth. I never used a disposable once and never plan on doing so. My son has never gotten a diaper rash and I haven't had a blow out yet. He's now 5 months old. They have really cute patterns and save so much money. I even use cloth wipes. They are very easy to wash. I haven't had any problems with them yet. I use a mix of different brands which are bumgenius, alva baby, mama koala, and grovia.

LOVE CLOTH. So much money saved and no blow outs or diaper rash. My girl is one and she's had two diaper rashes her whole life, one when we went on vacation and used disposable diapers and one when she got sick. She's also never had a poop blow out in her cloth so I don't have to wash as many clothes! We use Piddly-Winx (all in one, pockets) I am also looking into prefolds for over night

I love them. They save me money, they're not that much extra laundry, they're cute, and my son is actually allergic to disposables. I have Alva, Nora's Nursery, Mama Koala, Kawaii Heavy Wetter and Happy Diapers. The Happy Diapers are crap and began leaking after a month. The Kawaii's are great over night diapers. I feel like the Mama Koala diapers are best suited for my son's chunky legs, as the Alva and Nora diapers seem to have to be stretched and pulled weird ways to fit around his leg rolls. The Mama Koala's may not be suited really well for skinny babies though- they don't have hip snaps like the Alva and Nora diapers.  I'd recommend all of the brands I use, except for the Happy Diapers.

I'm sure the cloth diapers are super cost effective but you will be giving yourself just one more thing to have to wash. Between sleep deprivation and the demand of a new baby (plus having 2 other children), I just preferred the disposable ones. Seemed easier to me. But I know many women who love them and wouldn't have it any other way. They definitely have their pros. I guess it just depends on your energy level and if your ok with some extra laundry on a super regular basis. Remember infants go through a ton of diapers! I'd change at least 5 during just one feeding in the beginning. Especially if you BF. They are little poop machines lol.

I love them. Started them as soon as I finished all the free diapers I got from the hospital and her baby shower. The only time we use disposable is if we know we're going to be out of the house for most of the day. We spent maybe 300 I think in the beginning for all our supplies (we have over 30 diapers) and haven't spent very much money since. I only buy bamboo liners once she started solids so I can easily get rid of her poops, but besides that, it has saved us a lot of money. And I live in an apartment, so if I can do cloth diapers, I know anyone can.
