is 6 swaddle blankets & 12 receiving enough?

I don't wanna buy excess amounts of crap. I don't even know how long you swaddle a baby so in my mind I thought 6 was enough. but I also have some of the swaddle wraps on my registry, so might remove them?

My son hated being swaddled so we used zero. We used a few receiving blankets at the beginning but hardly use them any more (10 weeks). I thought I would use them for burp cloths so I didn't have to get those separately but they are too big and bulky. I ended up buying a bunch of the small burp cloths and it's way less annoying.

I would buy Muslim blankets as you can use them to swaddle, well any receiving blanket. You don't have to buy separate ones

We one swaddle blanket and we've never used it. My daughter hates having her arms tied down. We also only have 4 receiving blankets. Personally I would say your amounts are a little high

I have five Velcro swaddles and about 10 blankets that can be used to swaddle or to tuck over his buckles in the car seat. I also use them as breastfeeding covers. The only reason I even have that many is because at times I know I suck at getting laundry done.
