So my BF and I have been dating for awhile and he just told me he wanted to try anal with me. What does it feel like????

The short answer is it feels different for everybody. Some people hate it and some love it.
I'm not a fan personally, but if it's done right it can be mildly enjoyable. 
Don't knock it til you try it. Just make sure you go very slow, go to the bathroom first, and use lots of lube.

It can hurt if you aren't properly lubed up, so make sure you do that.  If you are, it can feel pretty nice. Try putting a few fingers in there first (lube on those might also be a good idea), either with your SO or on your own. Don't worry if you don't like it, it's not everyone's thing!
