My daughter will pick up small bite sized pieces I put on her high chair but she won't put it in her mouth. She just squeezes it in her fist and keeps it there 🙄 I'm just so confused because literally everything she grabs (toys, teethers, straw cups, the remote, etc) she puts straight in her mouth. Why won't she put the food in her mouth? Has anyone else experienced this?

I know mommy's do baby led weaning as early as 6 months and their baby will feed themselves. So why won't my 8 monther do it?

Adding on: I'm not doing baby led weaning. I spoonfeed her pureed foods or I put tiny pieces of cooked veggies etc in her mouth. She has her pincer grasp because she can pick up the food with her thumb and pointer but then she just keeps it in her palm 🤷🏻‍♀️
