Any of you momma's baby sleeping more than usual or not eating as much? I have to wake my baby to eat during the day.

I read online it could be a growth spurt, but still getting worried especially because my baby has a heart murmur and won't be seen about it until November

My four week old doesn't have any underlying healthy issues that we know of and has done this a couple times. She's back to her old style a couple days later so I've also been going with the growth spurt explanation. It definitely can be concerning though! We moms worry about everything right? 😂

Hi yep we've had our baby sleep longer than expected this week and he's five weeks old today. I asked my midwife about him 'skipping meals' she said it's perfectly normal and he'll wake himself up if he wants to eat- but that's just one opinion and I dunno how a heart murmur plays into that. I know that when our baby was jaundice they would make us wake him to feed him.

My son is 5 weeks old and the other day he slept all day. He'd wake up to eat and as soon as I fed him, he would fall back asleep. I was worried about it because we're having some health issues of our own over here but the following day he was back to his old self

Yup my LO has gone 3 even. 4. Hours without a fever and we are just two weeks old! I fell asleep to my alarm and didn't wake him up to feed😱felt like a terrible mom. Friends have said 3 hours is ok - baby will wake when they are really hungry but 4 hours is too long maybe one 4 hour stretch is ok after they're 2 weeks but not consistently that much of a break 😬
