If you have ever used Metformin and it gave you diarrhea, how long did it take for your body to get use to it and not have diarrhea anymore??

I had it for a week pretty bad got better the next week then even worse the next week. I stopped taking it because I also couldn't eat more then one meal a day

I was on the regular metformin for diabetes and had this problem. Talk to your doctor about switching to the extended release maybe? It's easier on the stomach.

It's a common side effect. If it continues I would let your healthcare provider know and see if they can switch you.

A month or so. I also asked to switch to the extended release version, and didn't have it with that.
