No spotting before period...good sign?

I went off the pill in March and every cycle since I've spotted for 4 or 5 days before I start. So far my period is 2 days away and no spotting. My boobs aren't tender but I've had some weird pains in them, so much so that it even woke me up in the night. I also usually have cramps for a couple days before and have nothing this time. I've had so many BFNs that I don't want to test too early. Anyone experience something similar??
