How often should I have my period?

I'm 14 I've had my period since I was 12, it was normal. In January of 2017 I hit my period twice, didn't think much of it then had it twice on febuary and so far I've had it 13 times and it's only September! Is this normal?

i use to get my twice a month and my mom made me go on birth  control i was 14yr my doc told my mom that in her opinion that i shouldnt be on it i was young so my body was getting use to having periods its very commen to have it twice an mounth heavy or light  and just having it last more then 8 day etc but anyway if your that worried  about it talk to your doctor about  birth control if you should go on it or not

You might have a short cycle. Cycles can be 21 to 45 days. So it is possible for you to have a cycle 2x a month. Every 3 weeks since January would be about 12-13 cycles right now. Keep track of how often you have your period and if it's a steady pattern. If it happens randomly, maybe talk to your doctor. I started birth control when I was 14 because I had very painful cramps and irregular cycles. I wasn't having sex at all. The birth control stopped my painful cramps and made my cycle regular and also got rid of my acne!

am Actually 12 and I had my fist period when I was 10, Since then my period could be only 3 days a month, 7 days a month or even 2 times a month. it's normal bc were still young once you get older your period cycle could line up and be the right order
