Do you believe in Mediums? (People who can communicate with the dead)

Question

I've had this conversation a couple times with my SO, he says that it's fake and he doesn't believe in them. I believe in them though. I wanted to know if you guys believe in them or not?

My parents have had encounters with spirits multiple times. They both saw them one night before my brother and I was born
Cool facts:
Spirits don't know they are dead which is why they might linger around a house because they don't know why someone is in it 
The reason someone becomes a spirit is because they are not at piece and they need a medium to help them pass over to the other world
They can be trapped as a spirit for thousand of years
But to answer the question about are mediums real yes they are! My grandad used to date a medium. And she would try and tap into my parents minds all the time. At her house was were my parents had encounters with the spirits.
You probally think I'm a nut but I shit you not this is all true. She even works with the police by having the spirits tell her where dead bodies are.

I've posted a few times about this but I saw a reputable medium in Downtown Los Angeles. He works with Law Enforcement on murder investigations and he is legitimate. (Has a masters degree and used to be a teacher)
Anyway, I went to see him six months after my mom passed away suddenly. He wanted to know nothing about me just told me when to come in, that's it! 
My mind was BLOWN. I brought my sister and brother (didn't tell him I was bringing anyone) and he mentioned things we mentioned aloud only to each other. He repeated PRIVATE thoughts out loud. Souls are NOT lost, they do NOT transition alone EVER, no one needs to "go to the light", no - a medium is not needed to "crossover"...that's garbage, sorry. 
They never leave us. There is no sense of time and they can be with multiple people at the same time. We are connected even after death. They continue to guide us, love us, listen, and comfort. 
I highly recommend seeing someone who is reputable and make sure they don't ask for ANY information about you. That is a red flag.
