Nexplanon vs. Pill

Bailey

Hey guys, so I've been taking the pill since 6th grade (not because I was active, but because I had horrible periods) when I did become active at 17, I was already knowledgeable about the pill, had a lot of practice ect.

Ok, so I'm a nanny for two families. I travel a lot and I'm always forgetting my pills or if I take the last one and the new box is at my own house, I can never get it until the next time I'm home which is usually once a week. I went to GYN and asked about Nexplanon. She said I'm a great candidate for it because of my schedule, I wouldn't have to worry or forget anything and I will not get pregnant on this. But I've researched and have found that some people get this implant, and bleed for months and months and then you eventually stop getting your periods and it's just in your arm. I wanted some opinions and details if anyone could help me if you've looked into this or have changed yourself. Thanks!
