How long did you wait?

I'm going on my 4th month actually ttc but removed my birth control just over a year so we were in the "not preventing but not trying" phase. Still no BFP. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the time I removed my birth control. How long did you wait before you seek medical advise from your Dr. if you may need assistance in the ttc process?

Got diagnosed with PCOS 4 months ago and got started on Metformin/Glucophage for Insulin Resistance. Been TTC 2 yrs and 7 months.
You might be able to conceive on your own with PCOS if you cut out simple carbs and then light to moderate cardio exercise. Depending in your age, the suggestion is seek fertility help after 1 year of TTC for age 34 and below. Seek fertility help after 6 months of TTC for 35 and above.

I'm 38 and we've been TTC for almost 3 months. My doctor told me to come back for testing if we don't get a BFP within 6 months.

Most doctors you have to wait a year to do any kind of testing, unless you have other medical issues. After a year we saw a specialist and a few months later got pregnant.
