Hi ladies! I'm 30 weeks pregnant and wondered if this has happened to anyone else at all?

I was woken up at around 2am by the most horrendous leg cramp I've ever had! It just started out of nowhere and it was the most painful I've ever experienced. I wriggled around trying to ease the pain but it wouldn't go, so my boyfriend had to get up and stretch my leg and hold it for me until the cramp went. (The poor guy thought I was in labour it was that painful!)

This is the first time it's ever happened to me, I know leg cramps are common in pregnancy. I'm wondering if it's because I was sat down all day long yesterday as I was stuck covering everyone at work (12 hour shift) and never got a chance to go for a walk or a stretch. Is that a possible cause?
