I'm a freshman (14 yo) and I really like my friend that is in 7th grade (12 yo) and I feel kinda gross about it. Is it weird that I like him or no?

when I was 15, I dated a boy that was 13. he's now my husband and I'm 25 and he's 23. :)

I mean it's your decision, but I like to date people that's at my level or above not below.

It's not weird at all, but I do think you should wait a little if you want to start dating. I'm currently a senior and I like a sophomore and everything is fine. There's only a year between us but it's still a fully grade level in between.

You will find as you get older that age doesn't matter much at all. I have numerous friends with a significant other that is two years apart from them, and more that are three or more. It's not really a big deal once you're past your teenage years. It more often than not has to do with maturity and emotional connection, not age. That's not weird at all.
