Toys R Us filing Bankruptcy; BAbies R Us?

Question

I didn't know who heard this but Toys R Us filed chapter 11 bankruptcy. 
I mention it because we are getting our crib from Babies R Us after researching, reading reviews, and confirming they had the best pricing. 
We have not created our registry (due Feb 1st) but I am curious how many of you would continue to make one with them knowing this?  We ordered our crib now just because we didn't want to risk it being discontinued or who knows what else.

I've canceled my registry at BabieRUs and switched over to Target. I've read about slower customer service and shipping lapses. In addition, I've noticed that a lot of inventory is no longer online or available in stores. Also their website was a painfully slow and even got a call from a store rep saying that their website is undergoing maintenance. Overall it was worthwhile to switch over.

I think Babies R Us is super expensive and there isn't one close to us so we're not registering there. I'm planning to register with Amazon (because, Prime 🙌🏻) and Target.

Chapter 11 is the good one.... chapter 7 is where the stores assets are liquidated.

I'm hearing that they will be evaluating which stores will stay open but the plan is to be open for this holiday season for sure. So......yeah lol

we registered before this happened, not sure if it's bad or not yet. most places that file bankruptcy still stay open. but we also registered at target where I'm sure most people we know will go anyways

I cancelled my registry with babies r us yesterday.  Some stores are denying the use of gift cards.  Not with the risk to me.
They should stay open up hbtil Christmas bht meh.

I was wondering if that means their stock will be dwindling even more (it seems like weekly I have more and more stuff the is discontinued on my registry).  I'm thinking of jumping ship and building my registry on babylist with ths same items but from different stores like Target, Amazon, etc.   Anything that is a BRU exclusive can still be on the registry, but I like having a backup plan.

I just talked to my friend who works at Babies r us. He said they just filed so it will take a while but the express stores will close first.
