HPV update

Chelsea

In April I had an abnormal pap and the biopsy showing Cervical Dysplasia at level 2 (moderate). If left untreated, it could progress to level 3 and then cancer, so they were suggesting that I consider surgery (LEEP procedure) to have part of my cervix removed. WELL, in that time I started working with a naturopathic doctor. While I definitely wasn't perfect, I made some lifestyle alterations: in addition to taking vitamins and supplements, worked on minimizing stress (as much as possible!), and practicing self love/acceptance/compassion. just got a 6 month follow up pap and biopsy, and my pap was completely normal... no sign of lesions! No precancerous cells! I just have to follow up again in another 6 months to double-check that nothing is there!!! 😊 I know that a lot of people debate that the mind-body connection is real and effective, but I do believe that these internal changes coupled with external lifestyle changes helped to fight off a virus that had been stirring in my body for over 2 years. Just wanted to share...
