What age do most people move from pads to tanpons?

I got my period at 10 (it was September), wore pads until June. That's when I discovered you can't wear a pad and swim, then it became primarily tampons. 25 years later, I discovered the menstrual cup, wish I knew about that option from the start.

Whenever you feel comfortable. Tampons have nothing to do with age.

That's totally up to you, I switched to tampons at 20 and never going to pads again! I know people who only wear pads and would never go to tampons. 100% personal preference.
