Blocked tear duct newborn

FTM here!! My 6 day old has yellow discharge coming from the corner of his right eye. After long sleep spells it’s almost like it’s glued shut. I read online it’s a blocked tear duct and warm water and two massages a day on the duct should help. Has anyone else has this? When should I get concerned?
