Is it possible to have your period but not ovulate??

Question

Hey ladies. 
I have just recently had my first period since having my son 11 months ago. So I got it around 10months postpartum. I am currently ttc for baby number two, and glow says I am at my peak fertile window right now. However, I did an ovulation test and there is absolutely no line at all visible in the test part. Only the control line (photo attached). So is glow wrong and am I not ovulating? Is it possible to have your period but not ovulate? How long did it take other people to get pregnant with their second baby/for your cycle to be normal again?

Tbqh, when I went back to work and had to pump more than nurse, my period came back, but I think you can start ovulating before the return of AF.
I don't feel like my body was 100% back to its normal self before we got pregnant again.
We were semi-trying (more like coming 'round to the idea again - I tell people we thought it was a good time to start gearing up for the long haul) and ended up getting pregnant, so you can totally be super fertile while still BFing!!
(It took a couple tries the first time 'round!)
Long story short, you're fertile much sooner than you realize, and it's most dangerous during BFing b/c a lot of times, women don't get their periods then, but that's why Ob's try to get us on BC of some kind when we're outside of that 6 week postpartum window.

(*ps* Glow is only guessing based upon it's algorithm / parameters you've set.  think when we were TTC I was using 3 different apps (no joke) to track all that stuff, but you're on the right track taking ovulation tests! If you enter that you took it, and it was negative, that'll help Glow (& w/e other apps should you choose to use them) better calculate the next window. And you'll start being able to track your cycle more

I havnt ovulated in years and still have periods every 34-40ish days. same as you can ovulate and not have a period. every time I do an opk it's got a very dark second line though.

glow could be off with when you ovulate, but you can also have an anovulatory cycle which is when you don't ovulate during a cycle but have a normal period, someone on here said it happens to women once a year but not sure if I believe that or not. as far as having a period after birth I wouldn't know because I'm pregnant with my first

I got my cycle back right after the pp bleeding stopped, but It is possible to have a period without ovulating. If your cycle just came back on t might take a month or two for your body to regulate and ovulate regularly! Good luck and baby dust!

Update - I can actually see a very faint second line. It took a few more minutes to develop. Maybe I'm just starting to ovulate?

Yes. I had a monthly but didn’t ovulate. But I have PCOS.

If your period is a full period, for example at least 4 days and not just spotting you ovulate.
