Study says there is no cognitive difference later in life based on breastfed and formula fed babies.
There was a newer study done in march that suggests there is no cognitive difference in children later in life based solely on how they were fed as an infant. Does this make you feel different about "breast is best" or judging mothers who choose to formula feed. The study also says "Breast-feeding may not make kids sharper or better behaved than their non-nursed peers over the long-term, a new study suggests." "Breast-feeding is known to have many positive effects for babies and moms. But the notion that it makes kids smarter or better able to regulate their behavior is unproven." The study also suggests the developmental advantages of the children they studied may have less to do with the way they were fed and more to do with their socioeconomic background.
