Behind the ear tattoo ?

Planning on getting a small tattoo (just an outline of the makeup of a chemical) behind my ear and was wondering if anyone has any experience with tattoos in that location, such as how painful the tattoo itself is and how the healing period differs from tattoos in other locations

I have just got my first one behind my ear (to add to many more) and it was honestly the least painful, just the weird vibrating feeling of the tattoo gun as they're doing it. You'll be fine 👍 good luck! X

Do it I have a bunch none behind my ear but can't imagine it being more painful than my ribs

It was the least painful of all my tattoos! It was more ticklish then anything bc of the constant vibrations. I tend to bleed a lot and heal very quickly but for this one I hardly bleed and healed just as fast if not quicker. Taking care of it can be kinda annoying bc you end up getting water all over while washing it and whatever you moisturize with in your hair. But other than that's it was a breeze!

Not painful to me at all, just weird because your head and inner ear vibrate. Kind of relaxing actually.

This is my behind-the-ear tattoo! Although this pic was taken right after i got it done, it hardly hurt for me. I have three tattoos and I personally thought that my hip tattoo hurt more than behind my ear. The only thing I’d suggest being careful about is showering; getting shampoo in it as it’s healing is really annoying, but by rinsing it off under the water afterwards it isn’t too bad. You may have to keep your hair up as it heals, especially when moisturizing because little baby hairs will stick to the tattoo. All-in-all, I say go for it! I love the placement of my tattoo and it’s so cute to me when people compliment it if i’ve got my hair in a ponytail. 💖

I have one behind both ears and they were both a breeze. I almost fell asleep with my first one. I wish they all were that easy lol
