How Do I Get Him To Clean??

We both work! We both have way too much crap for a 1 bedroom but if we clean regularly it wouldnt be too bad... he comes home and takes off his work clothes in the living room... and leaves them there. he doesnt do the dishes. he only cleans if we have people coming over or i tell him he needs to help. what do ladies? yes, ive talked to him already lol

If you tried talking to him about it already... Stop doing his share of the work. Only wash your dishes, put away your clothes, leave whatever he leaves out wherever he left it. As petty as it may be, you're not his maid. You're his partner.

I once bagged up and got rid of my hubbies clothes, clearly he had too many if he couldn't keep them in their place. Also He used to just drop stuff and that was that. Then after he found most his "dirty" clothes thrown out the side window, he now uses the laundry basket 🤷🏼‍♀️
I've put literally empty boxes of food that made it back into the cabinet under the sheets on his side of the bed. Haha
These things work I promise! I mean they'll be all upset, but just a quick reminder ghat I'm your partner not your mother goes a long way! 😂😂😂🙈🙈🙈

He's "training" you to do things for him. Once he runs out of clothes to wear and dishes to eat and drink, and once he can't walk because he's tripping on his own goddamn clothes, then he'll start doing it. Trust me. I've trained teenagers to having basic life skills and it works. Just stop doing it. 
And I would even go beyond and make sure he SEES me washing my clothes, ironing my clothes, cleaning my side of the bedroom, my side of he living room, and so forth. I would only make food for myself as well.

I had this issue before I went on strike. I told him I wasn't cleaning until he helped out. And it got to him. Now the bathroom and the dishes are his priorities. I went crazy for a week or two but now he does it without asking. And he's appreciating more of all the things I used to do for us, all on my own lol

I am cleaning the house today while he is out car shopping and I have already gotten rid of 3 large garbage bags full of donations because I have the same issue. He helps with dishes, garbage, and bathroom but he also works as a custodian 50+hrs a week so we just did a chore chart and its actually worked great most of the time. he does those things, i get the kids to try and pick up their toys and 4yr old to make her bed and i do the rest. maybe make a chore chart for the both of you and stick to it til it becomes habit? also i agree with dont clean up after him for a while.

I don’t know what he does after work, but I’ve went as far as unhooking the power cords from any game system and taking the remotes to the tv until I got some help. Seems childish but it worked
