42 hour labor

So I forgot to post my birth story so here you go. (First baby) I started to go into labor at home after about 3 hours of it not stopping I went to the hospital they told me I was in early Labor & to go home until I could no longer sleep through the contractions about an hour later I could no longer sleep through the contractions and went back to the hospital I was one centimeter dilated 5 hours went by in the contractions got way worse they got the IV in me and asked me if I wanted an epidural and I said no I am deadly afraid of needles so it took them awhile to even get the IV in me about eight hours went by and the contractions got worse a couple hours after that I started screaming in agonizing pain it was unbearable and I could barely walk they started injecting me with some sort of medicine that made me sleep for awhile after the 42 hours I was only 4 cm dilated and I had to go in for an emergency C-section they found out they couldn't give me the epidural because I had a heart murmur so they put me out the whole time when I woke up the first thing I saw was my baby in

my husband's arm.
