Is this to far?

I planned on having my dr 2 1/2 hours away it'll be my first child. The drs in the town we live in are shit and my husband is worried about me going into labor while on the way. What do you ladies think would you feel comfortable driving that far. Or would you suck it up and have shitty drs in the tie you live in?

My doctors have always been an hour away, but 2.5 is a lot. Keep in mind that once you hit around 32 weeks, you'll be driving there every single week and you won't want to be in the car 5 hours round trip at 28+ weeks pregnant.

That’s pretty far IMO. How do you know all the doctors are shit? My first pregnancy not a lot of people cared for the dr I had but I loved him.

that's really far! you have to think about How uncomfortable you'll be not being able to move around that long. I don't think I could do it

2 1/2 hours is really far! Like said by others do you really want to drive 5 hours a week to see your dr at the end? And what if you go into labor and you labor quickly? Since it's your first you don't know how labor or any of it will go! IMO I wouldn't want to see a dr I don't like but I also wouldn't feel comfortable being 2 1/2 hours away from my dr either! I drive 45 minutes to my dr and that was my max amount of drive time!

I would give birth at home by myself before I went with a doctor I didn't like, or trust, and wasn't completely comfortable with.
