Slow to rise hcg

Natalia

Hi everyone,

So after undergoing our first IVF and doing a fresh transfer of a AA graded embryo we got our BFP last week. Exciting right-- well the first hcg was good at 105 (9dp5dt).

Then the not so good news came, second reading had a 66hr doubling time and third reading had a 75hr doubling time.

So now I'm being told that they are thinking it's an ectopic or that I'm going to miscarry. I have been told by the doctor that there might be some hope as the numbers are rising, albeit a little more slowly then they would like. I'm booked in for an early US next week ( I will be 5 weeks) to see if anything can be seen.

I guess I am looking for someone who has had a similar experience and what the outcome was.

Thanks.
