As a first time mom who went through a very hard pregnancy and a traumatic birth. I am VERY proud to be able to breast feed my baby. After an emergency c section and my baby not being to latch at the hospital I was forced to supplement because he dropped below 10% in his birth weight. I was very very depressed. I cried HARD every day and night because I pictured a picture perfect birth and it was very different for me.

Luckily a nurse gave me a nipple shield and my baby was able to nurse, feeling my first let down at 4 days pp I was beyond surprised.

After a very hard recovery(still recovering from incision opening back up), not being able to stand up alone, not being able to carry my son standing up because I would have fainting spells. I have been nursing my baby one month and four days. And being able to bond with him has truly helped me through this depression. My birth plan was completely knocked out of the park. But in my lap landed the most gorgeous baby boy.
