Flying with an infant??

Question

I'm about to fly down south to visit family for a month and it's about a 5 hour flight with an hour layover. I have flown a bunch of times by myself but I'm completely new to flying with a baby. She will be about a month and a half when she flys. If you guys could give me any advice/ tips to flys with an infant it would be greatly appreciated 🙌 thank you in advance

My partner and I will be flying to Germany for Christmas when our little one is around 3 months old. I’m nervous for such a long flight! I think we’re going to try to fit everything into 1 big bag and check that with the car seat so we just bring a small carry-on and the diaper bag with us on the plane.

I flew with my 3 month old at the time and it was a 5 hour flight! My husband checked in my suitcase, so I could just carry my baby bag and push the stroller. My advice would be try not to bring too many things especially heavy items. Go to the airport extra early so you are not rushing and remember everything takes extra time with the baby so use your time wisely. Bring extra bottles if you bottle feed, pack all the necessary essentials. As for going into the airplane ask someone to help you with your stroller, out of all the people I'm sure someone will help you. In the airplane while taking off and landing make sure your baby is being fed so his or hers ears don't get plugged. If you need help with anything or need to use the restroom ask the flight attendant to hold the baby. I pray your flight goes smoothly with the baby! Have fun!
