Long Story Sorry ๐ Just Need Advice
Sorry idk where else to post this. Please prepare yourself bc this is a long story lol. A little background information I'm 13w 2d pregnant I work full time as a front desk agent at a hotel. I have always been in customer service and I'm pretty good at it if I say so myself. So last night the hotel was close to sold out but not really busy at the desk. So a previous guest called looking for something they may have left so I briefly placed the guest on hold and go look in our lost and found which is located in the back office. So my coworker see I'm not up there but she constantly keeps calling my phone, so the third time she calls I answer saying "yes ma'am" she says another guest needs something I said ok the guest have to wait bc I'm with another guest and hung up. So she calls me back saying "no ma'am you will not speak to me that way" and hung up so I'm shocked bc 1. She had guest around her 2. I'm 23 and she's 40 so clearly I would never disrespect her she's my older 3. Everyone knows I'm mature for my age she could've simply asked me if I had an attitude which I did not I was just rushing to help the guest I had on hold. So HER manager (kitchen manager) comes and pulls me in the office yelling like "Why you always picking on her?! You always have an attitude!" Now this man is 50+ years old, 6'1, and kinda heavy set. I'm 5'4!!! So I have a flip mouth that I'm in the process of working on so I told the man "let me call my general or assistant manager bc I can't do this with you I'll say something you might take the wrong way". So I forgot my manager was still on property so I got him to deal with it (front desk manager). I know it's over but it still bothers me bc she's white and I'm black not saying that race matters but she makes it seem like I don't like her bc she's white which is ridiculous!! My in laws and my step dad are both white so that's not the case. Idk how to handle the situation though bc we do have to work together and I can be very professional but she can't. Any suggestions?? Sorry it's so long ๐
