When does a period "end"

Question

Hi all, this sounds like a silly question, but when do you count the last day of your period? The last day you see bright red blood, only a little brown (old blood), first day of nothing? I usually have a couple days of old blood and so I'm not sure when you count the last day.

good question I guess I counted the day I had nothing?? hmm never really thought of it but I know I'd bleed for 7 days and after that it was gone the last day or two was little blood and spotting then nothing at all after
