At what temp do you go to the ER?

Baby is 7 months and running a temp of 102.3.  We left a message with her pediatrician's office but they haven't called back. At what temp do you take your baby to the ER?

My hospital told me to treat baby (7 months) at home unless it was over 103F 😳 
I called the advice line at the hospital before taking my daughter in and they asked me questions for 5 minutes to determine if my daughter needed to be seen right away or not (this was in the middle of the night so the doctors office wasn't an option for us either). They put my mind at ease and told me what to look for if/when we needed to bring her in.

I believe I was told that for a baby over 6 months, if the fever is over 102.9, you should go to the ER.
