Clomid detectable in blood/urine test?

Hello ladies!

So backstory- have PCOS, I don’t ovulate on my own and I’ve been trying for over a year. My Doctor that I had from 2009 through June 2017 had me on a three month rotation of Clomid. In the middle of my last cycle of Clomid my doctors office closed down and he relocated. I went to my doctors new office he joined because I’ve had him for several several-years and I really like him. Unfortunately his new office does not take my insurance so I had to find a new doctor. :( My new doctor has a requirement that her clients must be trying for six months to a year from the date of their first appointment with her office before prescribing clomid. Even though I have a previously been prescribed clomid she still refuses. I can’t bear another 6-12 months of KNOWING we will not get pregnant then how ever long on clomid after those 6-12 months until we get our much wanted child.

Backstory aside- I do have a family friend of 20 years that has extra clomid remaining after she fell pregnant. She has been my ttc buddy for the entire time and has offered it to me after hearing about my dilemma. So my question is, will my doctor be able to tell in blood and urine tests or ultrasounds that I have taken Clomid not prescribed by her? If so how long until it is no longer detectable in the blood and urine tests.

I understand taking unprescribed Clomid can be risky even if I know the person that I’m getting it from. I also know that all of my other cycles on Clomid have been completely unmonitored only using OPK‘s so I’m not worried about that because there has been no issues whatsoever. Her Clomid is the same mg as my old Clomid prescription. So please if you don’t know the answer about detectability please don’t post about how it’s stupid or not recommend. I respect your opinion and choices on how you TTC and I ask that you please respect mine. Thank you in advance!!!
