Advice for healing quickly? Best scar cream/healing cream?

I'm sure this question has been posted a million times, and for that I apologize in advance! I'm new here (just had my emergency c-section on Saturday, September 23), and I'm already looking for ANY advice. I am pretty sure there's nothing I can do yet because I'm still recovering from my (almost) 5 hour surgery, but in a couple of weeks hopefully I'll be feeling better and more healed. Just looking for any advice to heal nicely with as small a scar as possible. Thanks!

Get up and move. Once the incision site is a 100% healed buy silicone strips. My OB recommended them to increase the rate of healing, and the softness of the incision. I was on the fence and went home an did my own research and apparently they are used on burn victims to aid in healing. So I went ahead and bought them my incision site was soft and flesh toned within 12 weeks.

I healed fine naturally. The doctors route to suturing has a lot to do with healing. Good look.

I've heard c panties help but haven't tried them...I've also read good things about silicone strips but haven't gotten to try them yet as I'm not fully healed

I think it just depends on the skill of your surgeon. I didn't do anything to it for a week or so, then when I removed the bandage I just let water pass over it in the shower and wore low cut panties. I'm almost six months pp and it looks fine, still a bit red and raised but it will get better.

Do as much walking as u can still eat healthy and u can't put anything on it anyway don't remove gauze or strips let them fall off themselves

Keep it moisturized with coconut oil, or another oil you prefer better. Petroleum jelly works too!

You don't really have to do anything special to the incision site, a lot depends on how they closed it & how u personally heal, mine had internal stitches, glue, & steri strips on top, 1st several days I didn't really touch the area other then to lightly dab at it w/ a towel after letting shower water run over it, @ my 2 week check up to see how I was healing they saw I had a reaction to the steri strips, basically got an oozey rash around the incision, they took them off, cleaned it, applied petroleum jelly (aquafor probably would work too) & a thin pad like bandage to absorb the ooze, I reapplied & changed the bandages a few times a day & a week later it was all cleared up & the incision looked great, if u don't have sensitive skin u should heal fine w/ out the extra stuff I had to do! :)

Get moving as much as possible laying in bed only delays healing process.
