Mascara wearers! Do you feel like wearing mascara makes your natural eyelashes less voluminous and more brittle?

Personally, I feel like my eyelashes are shorter and less thick as a result of long time mascara usage and I'm really looking for a solution. For those of you who have felt this way and were able to fix it, if you could suggest ways to save your natural lashes in the comments I'd really appreciate any tips you can give to the eve community as well as myself. Thank you all!

Castor oil, put it on your eyelashes roots every night. It will take time seeing big results but it does work! You just need to keep it up and be patient, and obviously try not to use mascara as much.

I've been taking biotin and it's helped quite a bit. Also if you take your makeup off with coconut oil at night it conditions them and it's as rough as a makeup wipe!!

extra virgin coconut oil cold pressed is the bomb with eyelashes and eyebrows, it conditions the hair cuticle so it can grow also Castor oil and olive oil and Vitamin E oil as well.

Mascara enhances the length of my eyelashes for sure, but the only way I can give them volume is if I use an eyelash curler.

Yes! But only for certain mascaras, no matter how brand new or old they are or how much mascara I have left from the day before! Some just work better than others for me

rub olive oil on you're eyelashes every night before bed. it makes them thicker and grow longer and fast. then you can also still use mascara while doing this process often :))

I used to wear mascara every day now I wear it maybe once a week if that. My eyelashes have changed for sure. They've gotten longer and also have curled so idk🤷🏽‍♀️

If you don't take old mascara off properly and keep them healthy then yeah it will do that. Just make sure you do take it off and maybe put some Vaseline or something on them afterwards. 
Also it could be because of the mascara you're using. Make sure it's not out of date and if you still have issues try a different one

Rapid lash :) takes a while to see the difference but definitely helped. Also try having a few no makeup days in the week!
