Feeling good after eating vegan food

I always hear people saying that eating vegan food doesn’t make you feel heavy or bad after you eat it, like non-vegan food does ..(pizza or burgers, etc) but I’ve been a vegan for a bit over a year now and I don’t feel that way, I’ve always felt crap after eating, even before being vegan, is that weird? Not when I have snacks or anything but when I have an actual meal. I don’t eat bad, I eat really well but I always feel crap after eating a meal. Sometimes to avoid, I try to not eat as much as I usually do but that just leaves me hungry.

Yesterday I had plain pasta with steamed veggies, black beans and mushrooms and felt bad afterwards.
