My husband's grandma is overbearing. Throughout my pregnancy and now that baby is here, all she does is tell me what to do or what not to do - all backed by old wives tales and flawed logic. I try to respectfully say no and offer an evidence based response for why I don't do certain things (like put a pillow in his crib with him) and if I take 5 min to go to the bathroom, she would do the things I specifically decline - like put a pillow in his crib with him or add extra bedding. How do I tell her to back off without being offensive?
