zofran safe for my baby?

ive been terribly sick lately. im 8w4d. my doctor perscribed me zofran today. i read about it but omg, im totally freaked out. it says it is not fda approved and has been known to cause birth defects such as cleft lip and heart defects. have any moms had a heathly baby and were perscribed zofran? i havent been able to go to work for 3 days and i am hoping for relief. but i do NOT want to risk the health of my baby. ive tried everything...

Took it with my first son he's fine. Haven't needed it yet for this one. I get sick in 2nd and 3rd trimesters. My doc just said the jury is still out on the med and I do a mix of unisom and b6

I've been on it all 14 weeks and baby is fine 😊 my cousin used with her 3 kids and my sister with 2 of hers and all are okay.

If your doctor didn’t want you to take it he wouldn’t have given it to you. I have taken it my entire pregnancy and me and my baby are fine

My doctor would not prescribe it until I was 10 weeks when it's safer. He doesn't recommend I take it often either, only if necessary.

Have you tried declegis?  It's helped me somewhat but I still puke once or twice a day.  The dizziness is gone with the meds but I still get a bit of nausea and get very fatigued.  However still ways better than I was without it.
The drug is category A (safest category), and it's essentially just a slow release combo version of unisom and vitamin b6.  I believe zofran is category B.
Good luck to you!  I've been feeling miserable even with the meds.  I hope we all get some relieve soon.
