how did or do you guys get your 1 year old used to water?

I've have been trying to get my baby used to water since she was 6 months old. She refuses to drink water I have water bottles laying around everywhere she sips it and is done anyone got any tricks or is it a patience is a virtue thing ?

We just kept offering it in a sippy starting 6-7 months or so. Once he learned how to properly use the sippy we just started leaving it on the floor for him to find. He goes and gets when he’s thirsty. He even asks for it if we forget it in the baby bag.

My daughter only liked it when I started mixing apple juice with it. I literally put like 90% water and 10% apple juice into her sippy cup. So now she’ll take water on its own!

My daughter won't drink plain water so I usually add a very small splash of fresh squeezed juice and then she drinks it no problem

My son isn't very interested either. I can get him to take little tiny sips, but that's it. It's really frustrating especially because he won't drink milk from anywhere but my breasts either. He's one and I still can't go anywhere for more than a few hours because he won't drink anything 😭

I’ve been told it’s common. My mom, my daycare provider, and my son’s doctor were all surprised when I told them he likes water and guzzles it down. I have your problem with milk, he takes a couple sips here and there but prefers to wait for water. Maybe try some fruit infused water to sweeten it a bit? If that works, maybe over time combine it with more and more plain water.
