Fuck buddy crisis

So around January i met this guy, whom i ended up liking around march, things didn't really work out because he liked my best friend after a while, it broke me because he was the first guy id ever confessed i liked him (i'm a pathetic 16 year old whose never even had a boyfriend)

So we stopped talking, until i got over and gave him a second chance, but the thing is that when we liked each other, we were never official, (because he had a thing for her of course) but anyways we used to sext, and me being the horny girl i am, i loved it. He's 20 and seems like a nice guy, i've never sexted with anyone else, and he pretty much shows me how its down.

but at the moment, we still sext. I like to call him my fuck buddy, but we only sext because he lives away, and we can't see each other. Thing is we've recently been wanting to sext but in the middle of it, he keeps disappearing, over and over and i'm sick of it, he says he doesn't do it on purpose, maybe he doesn't, but i don't know what it means.

Should i stop sexting with him?
