The photos below are some of the hardest photos that I have ever shared. I hate to share them, but it really is important that they be seen. No matter how sad, people need to be made aware of the reality of childhood cancer - the #1 disease killer of children in the United States.

Many of the children pictured in the photos below are dead. They are dead because we as a country failed to care about them enough to give them more than 4% of the national cancer research budget. Very little funding going towards pediatric cancer research means very few innovative treatment options, low survival rates and too many of these photos popping up on my newsfeed...
