I have been homeless before, but I never went to shelter or anything. I was only homeless for 6 months, now I have a house.

Now let's get to the point. There is a pregnant woman walking around my neighborhood and town with broken shoes. She's probably 7-8 months pregnant. And the first time I saw her she was sitting on a bus bench so I thought she was just waiting for the bus. But today, I pull into my neighborhood and she's sitting on the curb. She's been wearing the same stained clothes for 3 days and carries nothing but a little bag. I decided, well I'm gonna go get her some food. She's probably hungry. But I'm a loser and didn't have any food to give her. I was in need of groceries, i wasn't going to offer her a slice of bread.

So I get in my car and go grocery shopping and when I got there she was outside the store, just sitting on a bench.. I pick out some stuff like canned food and a small pasta salad and then I went and picked out a cooked warm chicken, I have no idea what im doing so I'm just getting the pregnant lady chicken and pasta. I walked out of the store and take my stuff back to my car and then I take the buggy back and on the way I handed her the food. I asked her if she was alright, if she needed anything. She was embarrassed and said no, but thanked me for the food.

Then I looked down at her feet and decided tomorrow I'm going to bring her some of my shoes. Some sketchers I never wore. Hopefully she's in the neighborhood tomorrow.

I'm wondering, is there a place I could call for her? Like a shelter for women and children I could get her into? She needs a place to stay with the baby that will keep them together.

I would just bring her in my home, but living on the streets once..I'm very very hesitant. I don't know her, I don't know if she will steal my things. Not that I'm assuming that about her because of her circumstances but I've been homeless before and I've met quite a few people exactly like that. I'm trying to help this woman so please don't judge me for that.
