Dating and communication 🙄🙄

Ok so I need help. Me and this guy have been good friends for a few years now and we’ve always hit off and he liked me and vice versa. But we’ve dated other people and now we’re actually giving things a try. He’s a great guy, hard working, says he wants to marry me start a family and all of that since he’s met me but timing wasn’t right blah blah, we’ve gotten into the I love you phase as well, he wants the same things I want in life, and respects me but I have one issue ... communication. I know he’s a busy guy because he’s a high school coach so he works all day and has practice but lately we haven’t been in communication enough for me this week since Wednesday. I’ll admit I can be a little clingy and want a lot of attention but he has time to watch my Snapchat’s but not pick up the phone and say hey how are you doing ? So I decided to just back off and go into no contact. I’ve been in bad relationships so now I have a low tolerance for a lot of things cause I fear of wasting my time and getting hurt. Should I wait it out or let it go ? I don’t wanna make a bad decision that may be a little minute but I like to hear from people I love and I expect the same.
