First Birthday help

My son will be one on November 7th. We wanted to do a party with all of our family (immediate family and then our aunts, uncles, and cousins) and a few friends. I have a HUGE family so the list is 110 people. I know that sounds ridiculous but I have 22aunts and uncles and 30 cousins and most of them have kids. My husband has only 6 aunts and uncles and 8 cousins with their kids. We have a small house that won’t accommodate that many people and my husband doesn’t want to do it at my parents house. We looked into a cheap hall and it was $700 which is crazy.

My question is.... could we do two parties and have his family and our friends over one weekend and mine over the next or is that tacky? I don’t want it to seem weird to our family members and have them think our families don’t get along because they get along great. My mom said I could just not invite my side and just have my parents and brothers and sisters but I’m not sure in love with that idea.
