90s grunge VS modern grunge?

I definitely like 90s grunge better!!!! I feel like the modern grunge look isn't real grunge. It still looks very heavily made up. Back in my day (yes I'm old), me and my other grungy friends rarely even wore makeup. And we usually sported messy, unbrushed hair, and wore our older brothers clothes lol. I was a grunge kid back in the 90s, so maybe I'm biased lol.

Oh I love the 90's 😍 it was way better now kids just look like they are playing dress up and instead of looking like they don't give a F their grunge looks like they are trying way too hard.

sometimes I feel like im a little mix of both 😂 sometimes im like idgaf but also i like looking cute af other times. i like a lot of aspects of both, i probably lean modern bc of age/influence. idk, mostly i try not to care about whats going on in the fashion world though bc its a waste of time worrying about trends and shit. i just want to wear what i like and do my make up/hair however i want and anyone who cares about how i look can fuck off 😜 i think the "grunge" label is a way for people to try to find a familiar word that people can identify bc it pulls inspiration from 90s grunge. in the end its just words and people use language to make connections. fashion is always going to have this revolving and evolving pattern

I wasn't born in the 90s i was born in 2001 so just shy of it but my style is 90s because I just fell in love with it when i say it. I like to put the old 90s and a little of my taste in it as well. So I guess you could say modern and the old version.

I was growing up in the era of 90s grunge too and yes its completely different to modern grunge but modern grunge is still a really nice style. I like them both (although I don’t wear modern grunge because I’m a bit too old to get away with it and I don’t wear makeup and can’t be bothered with spending time getting my hair perfect)
