Disneyland Advice

Need advice on going to Disney with a baby.......We're going to Disneyland in January. My husband, myself, my mom, and my by then 6 month old baby will all be going. FTM and never been with a baby. We're not going for the baby as he's too young to remember. We can't wait for another time (long story why) so I ask that you please not comment not to go with a 6 month old. We decided to drive there from AZ to make it easier to lug stroller etc around. We'll be there 3 daysish. I think it would be best to stay on campus hotel so baby can go back in middle of day with grandma to take a nap. Grandma can't walk well so it does need to be close but also seems to be really expensive to stay in their hotels. Any advice on hotels? Cheaper ways to eat? Advice on what to do with baby? I don't know much about Disney so any advice would help. Thanks :)
