Newborn swing recommendations?!

I've heard mixed reviews on the Mamaroo and so I'm torn as to what kind of swing I'd get the most use out of for our little babe. Would love any and all recommendations for getting the most bang for our buck! Our little one is due Oct 31st so hoping to get all our remaining items in the next couple of weeks!

Also we already have a portable bouncer that vibrates (came as part of our pack n play!)

We got a fisher price snuggapuppy for our baby girl. We had the snuggabear for our son and we loved it. It plugs into the wall so it doesn’t waste batteries, it swings side to side or forward and back, has a mobile, and plays music.

I've heard the same thing-some babies LOVE the mamaroo, others absolutely hate it. No way to know beforehand 😩

I used the mamaroo for my 2nd child and now I am having my 3rd I bought another one, In my opinion it was well worth it. I was able to get some sleep and get chores done while he was on it. I got the old school swing back then with my first born in 2007,  The one that needs batteries and I gave up on buying batteries because it was getting expensive and had to swing him with my own foot during night time. lol I had a c section and it was not fun. The mamaroo wont last you a long time, which is dissapointing. I only used it for maybe 5 months but it was so worth it, I sold it after so I got some of my money back and someone else got a good use to it since it is very well made, it just doesnt accomodate heavier babies after awhile. I usually put him in the mamaroo then transfer him to the rock/sleeper, Its one of the safest way for them to sleep in since its elevated and prevents SIDS. Hope this helps you make a decision. Every baby is going to be different, so you can always try one for now and if it doesnt work return it and try something different. Thats what i had to do with my 2nd child after i sold the mamaroo, he got tired of it. lol
